Do you often doubt your skills, your drive, or your vision?
Congratulations. You are a sane human.
Self doubt is fear of failure as well as fear of success.
Self doubt is lying to you.. just like it lied to Benjamin Franklin and just like it lies to Tim Burton.
It wants you to take the "safest" route. It wants you to sit on your dreams and do nothing about it.
It says, "Look at all those confident, talented, successful people. They don't have self doubt. Therefore, you will never be like them."
Stop listening to that voice and remember that every sane member of our human race deals with self doubt in one form or another.
Everyone deals with it. Not everyone overcomes it.
All it takes to overcome self doubt is to show up and keep doing your thing.
Keep improving. Keep developing your skills and your confidence.
Make the decision to show up every day and self doubt will have less of a voice. It will never go away completely. But by showing up, you are saying, "I hear you, but I'm not listening to you."
